Day 7 – January 7, 2012
Happy Birthday to Me
Today isn’t actually my birthday but it was a lot like it for a few reasons. First of all, it was over 50 degrees in January in Boston. I consider that Mother Nature’s gift to me. I started off the day reading Le Petit Prince. I am trying to get through as much of it as possible, writing down all of the words I don’t know or can’t figure out based on context clues. When I saw it was 50 degrees outside, I quickly changed my plans for the day. We took Mel out for some fun at the park! I was happy she got to run around a bit. It was a good time other than when her herding instincts kicked in when Ben went to get his haircut and she was NOT happy with that. She ran all the way across the field to the street looking for Ben. She hardly ever runs off like that. She refused to listen to me! It was scary! I thought she was gone for sure. I also got a chance to bring my camera, which is always fun. Here are a few pics from the day.
Ben got a cute new haircut today. I gave him a hard time about how it was going to look like an old man haircut but it’s actually really cute! I am getting my haircut tomorrow. I need it badly.
The second reason it was like my birthday today is because I finally got to redeem my Bertucci’s gift card my dad got me for my birthday! We went all out! Pitcher of Sangria, artichoke cheese dip, lasagna, veal parma, and a chocolate cake for dessert. It was almost the perfect experience aside from our CRAZY waitress…. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt for the first half. She was really kind but just nuts and not really qualified for the job. Oh well… After dinner we went to Drew’s for a fire and some football. Gooooo SAINTS!!!
Overall, pretty chill day therefore blog is short and sweet. Also, I am beyond ready for bed so I’m wrapping it up!
Favorite Part of the Day: Bertucci’s in my tummy
Least Favorite Part: I had to turn down an audition that I got invited to because I have rehearsal and class at the same time as the audition 😦
What I Learned: Herding dogs run after their owners even if they are over 100 yds away…
What I am Thankful For: Ben loving me in spite of all the crap I give him all the time! Also, his loyalty to me for the past 7 years 🙂
What I will Do Differently Tomorrow: Be more outwardly appreciative of my husband
